Valentina Shevchenko (Kyrgyzstan, 1988) always had the fate linked to the world of wrestling. Descendant of the 'Kazak', warrior ethnic group in southern Russia, Valentina began practicing martial arts at five years of age. It began in taekwondo influence of his mother and was gradually trying their luck in other disciplines; he practiced kickboxing, valetudo and other specialties freestyle to become, only 21 years old, in a world reference. “I can not imagine life outside the ring because this world is everything to me. Early Star
At 12 years old, trying their luck and in kickboxing, Valentina had its baptism of faith with a match played in Issyk Kul, mountainous area of his native Kyrgyzstan, in which he knocked out a rival ten years older than her, earning the nickname of 'Bala’ thanks to the deployment of high speed, excellent technical, a variety of strokes and perfect control of the mind. “Everything is based on training”, she confesses. “I have been training a lifetime with the same coach, Pavel Fedotov, who is more than that to me because I know perfectly. Further, I like to train with men because they are physically stronger than us and that makes you push yourself more time to go out and fight”, confesses.
Until just over a year, Valentina lived with his family in Sochi, a major Russian resort located on the Black Sea, but also spends long periods training in Thailand. After fighting in rings from places as diverse as Thailand, Korea, France, Italy, Greece and the Netherlands, Valentina account, “fortunately”, only had to implement martial arts once out of the ring: “One winter day, in Russia, returned alone to train at night and in a somewhat dark street I saw a guy that caught my eye. I thought I was going to ask the time or some money, but when approaching forced me to give mobile phone. Kazakh birth, Peruvian adoption
What was a simple trip to visit Latin America became a whole turning point in the life of the lesser of the Shevchenko sisters. After the World Cup in Muay Thai, discipline that is six times world champion, in 2007, Valentina, Antonina and Fedotov befriended Fran Paredes, Reference fighter in Peru, who convinced them to visit the South American country and provide for a while and some seminary classes. The feeling was so, Valentina decided that not only would there to live, but would ask the Peruvian nationality to defend their interests in international competitions. “Peru is a beautiful country that has it all: beach, mountain and jungle. Warlike character tattooed on the skin
The athletic body that looks Shevchenko is the result of “many hours of work. A daily session when we have competition in mind and two and even more when we are preparing some evidence”.
